The crisis

Our communities at risk.

Across East Africa, climate change is no longer a future threat but an active crisis hitting our homes right now. Unpredictable droughts and shifting weather patterns are devastating our agriculture, destroying crop yields, and pushing farming families into food insecurity. At the same time, rising temperatures and vanishing water sources are endangering our iconic wildlife and fragile local ecosystems.

The problem

The forgotten continent.

While carbon capture technology exists globally to mitigate emissions, it remains largely inaccessible within our region. The primary barriers are structural and financial: conventional systems require massive upfront capital, highly specialized industrial infrastructure, and complex chemical import supply chains that are completely out of reach for local, mid-sized enterprises.

This leaves African industries without a viable pathway to reduce their emissions locally, creating a critical technological gap right when our environment needs action most.

Our discovery

Governed by nature,
built by biotech.

Instead of waiting for costly industrial machinery, we turned directly to local nature to engineer a pragmatic solution. We go into the extreme, boiling waters of Tanzania’s Lake Natron to isolate the resilient, surviving microorganisms that have spent millions of years naturally adapting to process carbon.

We take these isolated wild microbes and grow them in simple, natural local cultures, completely bypassing complex genetic modification. Because our process is entirely non-GMO and governed by natural biology, we escape the heavy regulatory roadblocks that delay biotechnology developments.

Once harvested, we extract the pure, raw carbon-fixing enzymes from these cells and permanently lock them onto our porous filter mesh. The result is an incredibly cost-effective, high-leverage product manufactured locally without expensive laboratory infrastructure.

The secret

Why “natron” is the key to our carbon capture.

The microalgae and bacteria that thrive in Lake Natron’s boiling, alkaline water had to evolve a brilliant trick to survive: hyper-rugged, heat-resistant and alkali-tolerant enzymes that can process carbon dioxide instantly in a highly alkaline environment.

By sourcing our natural enzymes from the organisms of Lake Natron, Natron X harnesses a biological engine perfected by three billion years of volcanic history. If these enzymes can thrive in the boiling, caustic waters of Natron, they can easily survive the hot, dirty exhaust of an industrial factory or generator.

How it works

A mechanical lung for industry.

Natron X works like an industrial, chemical-free mechanical lung. It mimics the mechanism of the human lung: air moves across a wet membrane and gas is traded the instant it makes contact. Heavy smoke from a generator or factory exhaust is drawn through a natural, recycled water-and-enzyme loop that turns the moving gas into a solid mineral.

01

The intake

Exhaust enters a custom steel chamber that slows down and swirls the rushing air to maximize exposure, the way an airway draws breath deep into the lung.

02

The bio-mesh coating

Smoke blasts through a porous ceramic-and-steel mesh permanently cross-linked with natural carbonic anhydrase enzymes extracted from Lake Natron extremophiles.

03

The instant reaction

Those rugged enzymes act as hyper-fast catalysts. The moment a gas molecule touches the wet mesh, it binds with liquid calcium or sodium solutions running through the filter.

04

Solid mineral, clean air

The gas becomes a dissolved mineral slurry, calcium carbonate or common limestone, that drains safely out the bottom, while 95% clean, carbon-free air releases out the top.

What it gives back

Saving land and livelihoods.

01

Shield Our Air

Clip the plug-and-play bio-filter onto local factory stacks and generators to instantly trap 95% of moving CO2.

02

Restore Our Soils

We chemically transform the captured gas into natural carbonate minerals, creating rich, eco-friendly soil conditioners.

03

Feed Our Communities

These mineral byproducts are distributed directly back to local farmers to neutralize acidic soil, boost crop yields, and secure local food supplies.

Products

Two parts, one system.

Everything Natron X needs is made here: the living enzyme that does the work, and the filter unit that holds it.

Natron X Enzyme

The concentrated carbon-fixing enzyme, harvested from the wild microbes of Lake Natron and bottled at one litre. It is topped up into the filter cartridge to keep the bio-mesh active.

Natron X Filter

The plug-and-play bio-filter. One simple cylinder, a mesh screen and one inlet pipe, made from standard parts a local workshop can build, service and repair. Clip it onto a factory stack or a generator exhaust and the enzyme-lined mesh traps up to 95% of the moving CO2, passing clean air out the top.
